Further responsibilities include aiding in the acquisition and execution of projects in the area of energy efficiency and renewable energy in buildings, and the development and delivery of low or zero carbon energy supply strategies for the built environment. A practical background related to power generation and built environment is desirable, ideally with electrical and mechanical knowledge of CHP. The ability to take initiative and bring new ideas to the table is crucial. A practical and commercial attitude is required with excellent project management skills. You must have the capacity to work independently as this role is mainly home-working or from the head office in Lincolnshire.

Ideally you will have significant experience working within a commercial/consulting environment, have knowledge of building energy demand/ modelling, M&E services, HVAC, lighting, buildings controls engineering in one or more sectors and energy engineering is essential. The main focus of the work is helping developers demonstrate how they have met current sustainability polices through the production of Sustainability Statements and/or undertaking Sustainability Appraisals and BREEAM Assessments. This area is generating healthy fees for the business and there is strong demand for these services throughout the UK. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in sustainability/environmental consultancy. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of BREEAM Assessments, preferably be a Registered BREEAM Assessor for BREEAM for Offices and EcoHomes. Knowledge of BREEAM for Retail and BREEAM for Industrial is desirable. Qualifications in Sustainable Design or Environmental Science or any other relevant disciplines would be highly relevant, to at least degree level. Knowledge of the Town and Country Planning Act and how sustainability fits within this is also desirable. A competitive package is on offer. |
