Successful candidates will probably have over 8 years experience in HAZID / HAZOP Studies, Consequence Analysis / QRA for Oil & Gas Operations using well known software like PHAST/SAFETI, Fire Protection and Fire & Gas Detection Systems, Emergency Response Plans etc. You will have a degree in process, chemical, mechanical engineering or similar. Experience of HSEIA and ADNOC Codes of Practice is advantageous.

Our client is seeking an Occupational Hygiene Consultant to be based in their Aberdeen office. You should have experience of working on a wide range of occupational hygiene related projects, typically including noise surveys, workplace air monitoring and local exhaust ventilation (LEV) testing. Ideally this experience will have been gained in an environmental consultancy. You should have a science degree or equivalent and ideally the BOHS Certificate in Occupational Hygiene (Cert.Occ.Hyg), or be working towards this qualification. The main areas of work will include: Advising clients on the control of noise and vibration exposures at work, measuring and assessing hazardous substances, assisting with the training and development of team members, account management of occupational hygiene work and providing sound strategic and high level occupational hygiene consultancy to public and private sector clients. Candidates are likely to have a good honours degree, experience in occupational hygiene and, preferably, a BOHS Certificate in Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene. Training will be given where appropriate. An ability to communicate clearly and succinctly, orally and in writing is essential, as is an ability to work both alone and as part of a team. Experience of working in a UKAS accredited environment will also be advantageous. Other duties will include providing professional and technical support to the business development team and assisting with new initiatives and product development. As the work will involve travelling to clients’ workplaces a full, current driving licence is essential.
