You will provide high quality Asbestos Consultancy and management to a major client as part a substantial remediation construction contract. This is an unusual opportunity in that it provides an opportunity to work within a high quality organisation, providing high-level consultancy to a top UK company. The work is primarily during office hours but some weekend and out of hours working will be necessary as the successful applicant becomes integrated into the wider asbestos works undertaken by our clients London based team. Responsibilities include amongst others: Inspection of asbestos enclosures; supervision of asbestos removal contractors; health and safety advice and reviews; solving problems associated with asbestos management and assessment; liaison with the client, the project team and the various contractors and contributing to Project team meetings, Project planning, specification of asbestos remediation works. The successful candidate should be experienced in asbestos service and consultancy work, ideally with an S301 module, a certified competent person and with a NEBOSH certificate. Minimum qualifications are P403, P404 and P405 BOHS modules. The post will involve travelling and working at weekends and other unsocial hours are required from time to time. A current driving licence is essential. Approved overtime and travel and subsistence costs are payable. Salary will be in the range £25,000 to £30,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Security clearance is necessary.
